How do you answer the question, “What’s for dinner tonight?” This dry erase board will help you organize your dinner plans so you have an answer.

This is one of my favorite organizing items, the Mead OrganizeHer Write ‘n Wipe Meal Center available at Target. It is a magnetic dry erase board with a matching magnetic notepad for the grocery list. With this on the fridge, everyone in the family knows what is planned for dinner.
This board is the beginning to streamlining meal planning and grocery shopping. On a weekly basis, prior to grocery shopping, plan out your meals. You can include all meals, or just focus on dinner. The lunch column can be used to indicate if your child is going to buy or pack lunch that day. The notes column lets you add in other events that may interfere with mealtimes, such as an evening sporting practice. You can keep track of which family members will be there for dinnertime, and plan accordingly.
Write in your meals for the week, and you can easily erase and move items around for variety. When writing your grocery list, include all the ingredients needed to make these meals. After shopping, you will have all the ingredients for these meals in your kitchen, and a clear schedule on the fridge to what is for dinner.
If you want to have the menu with you always, you can take a cell phone photo of the completed menu board. By planning each week, you’ll save money on dining out, and the whole family can be involved in the meal planning process because it is right there on the fridge.
